Let’s meet one of the faces behind Strive’s Customer Sales team. The logistics experts on the Customer Sales team work hard to form relationships with prospects and customers.


Ben Grafstrom

Ben joined Strive Logistics in 2010. While he has worn many hats over the years, Ben’s primary role is in customer sales. His responsibilities include lead generation, new business acquisition, pricing negotiation, contract execution, and account management. Beyond the doors of Strive, Ben enjoys traveling and exploring new destinations, physical fitness, the outdoors, country music, and the occasional fist-pumping night out in Austin.

What brought you to Strive?

I was first introduced to Strive as a soon-to-be college graduate attending the career fair at Arizona State University. Strive stood out to me though as a truly unique opportunity. A career in sales at Strive Logistics was the only position I came across that offered all three of the qualities I was looking for.

  • • A small/medium sized company in a growing stage – somewhere that I felt I could truly make an impact
  • • Truly unlimited earning potential – somewhere I can be in control of my own future and income
  • • Among a sea of sales positions that were a commission-only structure, Strive was one of the only companies that demonstrated they value new hires enough to start them on an initial salary – an investment in me and a commitment to my future with the company

What kinds of qualities does someone need to have to be a Strive employee?

Being a good Strive employee is about relationships, trust, and passion. Strive is like a family. We spend more time with each other than we do anyone else in our lives. Showing respect for your fellow Strivers and valuing the hard work that they put in every day is what makes our company successful.

Trust in ourselves and our teammates is also imperative. Not one department at Strive is able to function without the others, so the ability to trust in the other departments and our fellow Strivers is what allows us to focus on being the best we can be as individuals.

Last, but certainly not least, being a good Strive employee is about passion. Being passionate about who we are, what we do, and how we help our customers is what can make or break an account, a carrier relationship, or even Strive. Our passion for the industry not only sets Strive apart from the competition, it makes coming to work every day a more enjoyable experience for everyone.

What’s your favorite thing about working for Strive?

Over the years, I have watched Strive grow tremendously. From increased manpower, to the development of incredible technology, to the personal development of individuals – we have become a force to be reckoned with in the industry and I am incredibly proud to be a part of such an amazing team!

How do you make your customers’ lives easier?

Working in logistics is tough. Whether it’s dispatch, carrier sales, operations, or customer sales, we are tasked with an enormous amount of responsibility to ensure our customer’s freight is picked up and delivered on time. We battle against unthinkable obstacles on a daily basis and must still find a way to deliver solutions.

We make our customers’ lives easier by providing the industry knowledge, experience, and problem solving skills necessary to successfully execute our commitments. Furthermore, if there is a problem, we are able to make our customer’s lives easier by utilizing that same know-how to offer a quick and effective resolution.
