Meet a Striver: Training Manager


Strive is made up of people from a variety of backgrounds that share a common goal - to deliver our customer's business. Join us as we sit down with Kris, our Training Manager and chat about his experience working at Strive. Strive Logistics ChicagoKris started as an intern at Strive and joined Strive full-time in 2011 in the Chicago office. His role includes training all of the new hires and recruiting on campus. Outside of Strive, Kris enjoys going to Cubs games and cheering on the Hoosiers.

How did you first learn about Strive?

I was looking for internships at the IU career fair and walked up to the Strive booth because I wanted a water bottle. I had a good talk with Adam (current VP of Development), and here I am.

What ultimately led you to accept your position here?

After the internship I just knew Strive was the place for me. I knew I wasn’t going to find a better group of people to work with or a better company to grow with. I believe in what we’re doing here.

What do you like most about your job?

I love training reps and then watching them use what they learned to be successful. It’s a great feeling when you see them “get it.”

How has Strive helped you in your career development?

Strive has taught me how to be a better leader. Through first-hand experience and coaching I’ve been able to learn a lot about our industry.

What advice do you have for prospective Strive candidates?

Whatever company you’re looking at, you should ask yourself: “Is this a company I can grow with? Are these the type of people I want to spend 9 hours a day working side by side?” Strive is that place for me.



What are 3 words to describe Strive?

Creative. Exciting. Fun.

How would you describe the culture at Strive?

It’s one-of-a-kind controlled chaos. It’s a casual, fun environment but that doesn’t mean we don’t work hard. We’re logistics professionals all working hard to be the best.
